Northwestern women's golf team are Natinals

But with a fresh year plus a new team, coach Emily Fletcher is positive about her squad.

"We've been working hard, we're enthusiastic about the remainder of the spring season," Fletcher said. "Everybody is spending so much time and staying with task, they're improving and improving where they are able to."

After a strong fall season the location where the No. 32 Wildcats recorded three top-10 finishes in four starts, NU continues to experience callaway x-24 hot irons well in the year. It placed fifth inside the Lady Puerto Rico Classic, and even though Cats stood a less-than-impressive 13th-place finish at the Central District Invitational, these are looking forward to where things are headed.

"We use a large amount of great stats and feelings products we accomplished and what we should have not yet accomplish," senior Alex Lederhausen said. "We can just build on that, keep practicing and appearance to the remainder of spring."

Lederhausen is among the most experienced starter for the team, and although callaway diablo edge irons her game has struggled at times, she said she's optimistic that they may have a great spring season.

"I feel confident starting the spring," Lederhausen said. "I have been working very hard this winter i really hope it'll settle."

Lauren Weaver is an additional veteran prepared to lead the team. The junior is arriving off a year by which she set an NU single-season discount golf clubs scoring record which has a 74.49-stroke average and was named first team All-Big Ten.

Weaver hasn't played her greatest golf this season, but Fletcher said she expects her to rebound.
